Exciting news … the dates for Unclad 2010 are set and we are issuing a CALL FOR ART for next year’s show. ENTRIES are DUE JANUARY 15th, 2010.

Dear Artist,
Unclad 2010 is a fine art show dedicated to celebrating the nude figure in art. Now in its ninth year, Unclad is known for attracting top artists from across North America.

The show will run March 13th — 28th, 2010 at Gallery by the Bay in Stanwood, WA.

Last year, the juried show featured works by 95 artists from across North America. We’re looking forward to another fantastic show and we encourage all artists (accomplished and emerging!) to submit works for consideration.

Please download the prospectus and application here.

Please call or email me with any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing your artwork submissions in January of 2010!

Remember, your entries are due January 15th!

-Gayle Picken
(360) 629-4297 or gayle@uncladart.com

ENTRIES are DUE January 15th, 2010

Q & A

When is the show?
The dates are March 13 - 28, 2010.

Where is it being held this year?
At Gallery by the Bay in downtown Stanwood, WA. We’ve recently expanded the gallery and are happy to be able to host the show in our own space!

Who can enter?
All artists are eligible to apply for the show. In past years, we’ve featured artists from the Pacific Northwest, the East Coast, Canada, Denmark, Australia, Israel, and all over North America.

Is it hard to get in?
The juried show is competitive. Last year we took about 1/4 of all entries that came in. However, we encourage all artists to apply. Professional and emerging artists make it into the show every year!

What mediums are eligible?
The Unclad show highlights a diverse selection of artwork under the theme of the nude figure in art. We think it’s important to provide a variety of styles and mediums to keep the show fresh and interesting. ALL visual art mediums are eligible.

Where can I get the prospectus and application?

You can download them here or phone 360-629-4297 to have a printed copy mailed to you.

Download Unclad 2010 prospectus and application

“We’re having a lot of fun” says Tim Taylor of Ballard. “It’s fantastic … there’s lots of energy in the room,” added Janet Hamilton of Everett.

Artists have traveled from Bellingham, Renton, Seattle, Whidbey Island, and Everett to participate in the drawing marathon. Some are experienced professionals and others are students from the local high school.

Loren Smedberg from Monroe says, “I’m here to draw and hopefully sell one of my drawings to raise money for cancer research.”

“It’s a lot more fun than walking 60 miles,” added Darlene Schmidt Burt from Seattle.
